Thank you for your question. If you are concerned about breaking your hymen by masturbating, you should be fine if you do not insert anything into your vagina. However, many women will break their hymen as it is only a very thin layer of mucus and it is common to break this prior to engagement of sexual activity. Masturbation is common and healthy so you would still be considered a virgin.
