Guide

Hello Anonymous,

In general, missing a period for three months, followed by scant, dark vaginal bleeding is abnormal. However, depending on your age, this might be related to early in your reproductive years, such as a teenage in puberty, or late in your reproductive years, such a a woman entering perimenopause.

The menstrual cycle is regulated by hormones. Any factor, such as high levels of stress, fluctuations in hormone levels, such as perimenopause, or
a medical condition, such as polycystic ovary syndrome, causes changes in the menstrual cycle.

For peace of mind, Anonymous, I suggest you schedule an appointment with your gynecologist.

Regards,
Maryann
