missed 1 pill in week 1

Hi. I missed 1 pill in week 1 (5th day) but took it right away at same time as the next pill. I'm taking Diane 35. My problem is that I had sex the night I missed the pill. I have been taking Diane 35 consistently and correctly for 1 1/2 years now and it is the only time that I missed a pill. What are the possibilities of getting pregnant?

i had the same situation. i missed a pill in week1, had sex the night before. i am taking logynon. what are the chances of getting pregnant? i was able to take the pill 10 hours after...

Dear Anon,

When you're on birth control pills and you miss one, there is always a chance of pregnancy-- especially if you has sex on the same night. I would try not to stress out over it too much-- what's done is done, right? Continue to take your pills daily and wait for your next period. If it's late and you are still concerned, you can take a home pregnancy test.
