so last week 8days ago, i had some bleeding and realized i had missed 2 birth control pills, so that same night following at 9:00,my normal time to take them, i took the 2 tnat i had missed along with the one for that night. i continued to have my period even remembering every day since to take the pill on time, and now still have my period. how do i still have my period if i take the pill every night ?? and how much longer is it going to last? if i stop taking the pill will it make the period go away? and will i get another period when this pack ends? (the last pill in the pack is for this saturday)

You obviously had a rather severe reaction to missing your pills. Some women can bleed as if it's their placebo week since the body has recognized very quickly that it's hormones have changed (due to missed pills).
August 31, 2017 - 1:48pmYou need to keep taking your pills as usual since you made them up as prescribed. Take an iron supplement if you feel dizzy or tired from bleeding so much. You may continue to bleed during your inactive week. Once you start your new pack, you should settle back down to normal. Please contact your doctor if you have further concerns.
