My bf and I had unprotected sex on the 14th and
missed the 14th, 15th, and 16th pills. My last period was the 28th of last month. I started back on my pills last night. I started spotting brown discharge and cramping. It got stronger Today. I'm no supposed to start till next week. Am I just having an early period? Or is it possible that I'm pregnant?

Hi Ashley

You may need to wait a week and test again. Did you do the test first thing in the morning and follow all the directions? Everyone is a little different hormonally, so the over the counter tests are not 100% accurate. I would say if you wait a week and test again and still have no period or positive test, you may need to see your health care provider for a blood test and exam.

Good luck to you.

So I am supposed to get my period today, however, no cramps or spotting. All signs point to pregnancy. However, I took a clear blue digital pregnancy test, and it gave me a not pregnant. I don't know what is going on.

Ok so I don't know if it was a period or not, because it only lasted 3 days. My normal periods usually last a week or a little more. But since then I have been feeling a little weird...I'm probably just making myself scared or something but I would love to hear what you think. So since then, i have been feeling a little sick to my stomach around 1am-3am, I get up in the middle of the night to pee more which I was always able to hold it till morning. When I eat, I feel full for hours on end. I feel like I can smell more than usual. My lower back by my hips have been hurting more since yesterday. My breasts aren't really sore. And for some reason, last night I felt so nervous for no reason, and it lasted till 4 in the morning. And when I sleep on my back, I feel sick and my back starts to hurt, and it gets harder to breathe. I keep telling myself that I can't be pregnant cuz I had what I think is my period. I am now on the "sugar pills" and don't feel like I am going to start a normal period. Please let me know what you think.

Hi,
Anytime you have unprotected sex, you have an increased risk of pregnancy. If your regular period does not start when you expect it to (around the end of the month), you may want to take a home pregnancy test.

When you miss pills, then begin taking them again, it can cause "breakthrough bleeding" which can be spotting in between periods-- this is most likely what you are experiencing---and is not an indicator of pregnancy or not-being pregnant, unfortunately. Your body may have also started a menstrual period, since it has a sudden stop in hormones. This is not harmful to your system, but is unclear if you are pregnant or not. The only way to know if you are pregnant is to begin a period and/or take a home pregnancy test.

Hope this helps, and please let us know if your period starts, or if you take a test!

hi! I've been on the pill for about a year and half. I missed three pills (Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday). I didn't have sex. I've been trying to research on what to do to catch up with my pills but the only info that i found said to immediately throw my pack away and start a new one. The problem is I do not have a new one with me. I'm not spotting or anything. I just dont know what to do, it's late and I dont want to stay a fourth day without taking it so I'm planning on taking 2 today (Friday's and Saturday's), 2 tomorrow (Sunday's and Monday's), and 2 on Wednesday (Tuesday's and Wednesday's). Is that bad???? PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!

You missed the last three days? I am also on the pill and I have definitely had this happen to me. You're fine, just don't go off with any hot guys for, let's say a month to be conservative (but really, a couple of weeks should be fine). The next thing you need to do is take two pills tomorrow. Let the throw out the other(s) from before that. In other words, when you start-up, just have the one day of two pills. Don't worry, everything will be all reset by the time you start your new box after your period.
