Guide (reply to Anonymous)

Hi Anonymous,

Consult your gynecologist on this. I am concerned that missing doses early in the pack and having frequent intercourse puts you at risk. But, your doctor is your best resource.

Hello Anonymous,

Thank you for your question.

Your chance of becoming pregnant would be highest if you missed four consecutive doses at the beginning of the new pack.

Your risk of conceiving is lower if you missed a dose intermittently, like every third or fourth day, and made up by taking two pills as soon as you realized your error.

In general, missing seven consecutive doses of active pills puts you at risk. This applies to missing doses in the first and third week of a pack.
