Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for coming to us with your concern.

If you miss a pill, you should take the pill you missed as soon as you can. You didn't, so nothing can be done now.

Birth control pills prevent pregnancy by preventing ovulation. The highest risk of ovulation occurs when the hormone-free interval, which is the time when inactive pills are taken or there is a break between active pills, is prolonged for than seven days.

Anonymous. you missed only one dose during the second week of active pills, so I think you were not at high risk for ovulating. I don't think there was much of a risk for becoming pregnant.

However, the only way to know for certain is to wait until the week of inactive pills and see if you have vaginal bleeding.

Regards,
Maryann
