Missed period...

I am concerned about a few things going on with me. I will be late on my period by 4 weeks this coming Tuesday. I am on the pill and never missed one but did take some extremely later in the day than usual. Over the past few weeks I have been tired, sick to my stomach and cramping in my lower belly. Now I have had burning, piercing sharp pains and just an all out WEIRD feeling in my breasts. I assumed I was pregnant and have taken 6 tests until last Saturday and they all said negative. I have put all this off to STRESS. Should I be concerned over this?

I just moved about 2 months ago to a different state and just started my job, insurance kicks in on the 1st of November so I have been waiting to see a doctor. Thanks for any advice or help!

Hi Anon,

Thank you for your question. If you have taken 6 pregnancy tests which have all been negative, then you aren't pregnant. It is possible that you may be under a lot of stress due to the new job, moving, etc. Also, remember that some birth control pills will stop you from getting a period entirely.

If you miss 3 periods in a row, please see your doctor.

Lyn,

Please take a pregnancy test. Even if you had sex on day 8, it is still possible to get pregnant-- especially if you are not on birth control.

Keep us posted,
