Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
You cannot be pregnant because you already had a regular period. It is a myth that women have periods during pregnancy. Implantation bleeding happens a couple weeks after the egg is fertilized which can only occur during ovulation. Implantation bleeding generally lasts 1 or 2 days and is generally just spotting.
Having a missed period usually does not signify any dangerous issues. It is usually due to a slight hormonal imbalance. These imbalances can be due to stress, a change in medication, or physical activity etc.
It is only really necessary to have a period if you wish to become pregnant. But in most cases it is not necessary.
If it really concerns you however, you should get a pap smear to make sure everything is normal.
Remember, that everything can still be normal even if you are not having regular periods.
