farina - Thanks for your question and for seeking information to support your health.
Many women have irregular periods. Has your doctor provided any information, or done any tests, to determine why your periods aren't regular? Has your doctor explained why the drug you're using was prescribed?

Provera contains a hormone that works by altering the lining of the uterus, which is what causes your menstrual cycle to come. You can find information about Provera here: http://www.drugs.com/cdi/provera.html

If you are not comfortable with the information you are getting, or the treatment you are receiving, then you can consider changing to a different doctor who will better address your needs. We are not able to provide medical advice or determine why you are missing your periods and you need to work with a medical professional to get the answers you need. Good luck to you.
