One of medical doctors after listening to my symptms and suggested I may have Lupus. Looking up the symptoms, I discovered I could be the poster women for the deasease. However,before I could be tested for Lupus, I had a scheduled appointment with my chardiologist for my annual check up and was surprised that she found one of my major arteries was 80% blocked. I was cated and had a stint put find myself very confused. I had my last yearly GP check up in September and nothing showed up as out of balance encluding my cholosteral levels. Which one of the symptoms for Lupus are the same for heart conditions and which ones do i need to disregard? Also should I go forward with testing for Lupus?

I am so happy to hear that your doctor found your artery blockage, and you were able to receive treatment! How are you feeling?
You will be interested in the link between lupus and heart disease:

Many of the symptoms of Lupus (fatigue, chest pain, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, Inflammation of heart or heart vessels) are the same that you would have for heart disease as well. Many women who have heart disease do not have ANY symptoms. Your artery could have become blocked within the year (since you last were seen by your cardiologist).
Are you having the other symptoms of lupus, that are not associated with heart disease (skin rashes, painful joints....you can read the other symptoms at: Lupus Symptoms.
It would be wise to go through with any diagnostic testing for lupus. No single test can determine if you have lupus. But, a number of blood tests for specific antibodies can confirm diagnosis.

Thank you for your quick response and I apologize for my tardiness. It's taken me awhile to start feeling better. My doctor has sent off my blood to be analyzed for Lupus but I was told it takes a long time to get the results.
I have other symptoms: 1) on my very clear complexion, I have a rash on either side of nose although it is smallish bumps. Plus I have something similar on my arms but a little larger bumps; 2) My eyes are a problem; regardless of the eye drops I have been given to use they remain very dry, plus after getting new glasses my vision becomes fuzzy within several weeks plus I've developed night blindness; 3) when I had my last yearly exam in September 2010, the only thing that showed up was a lack of vitamin D; 4) I have had a fever of aprox. 100 degrees for over 2 1/2 - 3 years that my GP, whose specialty is infectious disease, has not been able to pin point even after every test imaginable; 5) I have Rynoides (SP?- nails turn blue in cold); 6) depression set in about 5 years ago along with 7) fatigue 8) hot then cold chills and 9) sun sensitivity.
As soon as I get the blood test results, I will let you know.
