Hi Anon

Thanks so much for your question!

How long has this been going on?

Leg cramps can happen for a variety of reasons. They can be due to a lack of movement, exercise or activity. Are you sedentary, in general?

The opposite can also be true - over use of muscles can cause leg cramps (often due to over-exercise). Could this be the case?

Another combination leg cramp- and-rapid weight loss reason is fad dieting and diets - are you taking part in one?

Dehydration is also a known cause of leg cramps.

Rapid weight loss (that's not connected to dieting or an already known condition) needs to be seen by a doctor as soon as possible because it can be an indicator of serious illnesses like cancer. Not that that's the case with you, necessarily, but it can be a symptom.

I think it's a good idea to see a health care provider as soon as possible.
