Hi Anon

We cannot diagnose anything for you or tell you whether or not this is OCD but it doesn't seem like your son is having obsessive compulsive thoughts (like someone who compulsively cleans or check things or someone who cannot get a certain issue out of his mind), rather, it seems, he is having auditory hallucinations. Is he also having visual hallucinations?

People who use SSRI's have various mental health conditions and they may help him but it all depends on his actual diagnosis and treatment plan. His age will also be taken into consideration.

How is he doing now? Please let us know!

We have received a reply from a medical expert regarding your son.
This is what she says," This teen appears to be having delusions, which may likely indicate a serious mental health disorder. He really needs to be seen by an excellent mental health provider so a comprehensive history and thorough mental health assessment can be performed. He also needs to be examined by his primary care provider to rule out any underlying physical disease or substance use that could be causing these types of thoughts."

Hi Anon

Thanks for your post. It has been forwarded to a medical expert but may take several days to get a reply.

In the meantime, I hope you have contacted his doctor about this? Your son sounds like he is suffering greatly and may need immediate care, whether it's inpatient or an adjustment or change of medication or intense therapy (or a combination).

Please call his doctor today if you haven't yet called about these episodes or present your son at the ER if you think he may self- harm.

What diagnosis does he currently have?

We hope to hear back from you very soon!
