Hello and thank you for choosing EmpowHer,
Taking a bunch of pain-killers is not always the way to go. So if she wants a natural cramp stopper she should try Wild Ginger. It has been used by women for centuries to stop the pain of menstrual camps. She can take 1 tsp of dried plant per cup of water, taken hot, warm, or cold, 1-2 cups throughout the day. Or, as a tincture, 2-5 drops throughout the day. Avoid large doses, as the herb contains aristolochic acid, which can lead to kidney failure if used excessively.
She can find it at any herbal store or perhaps even Whole Foods.
If she is up for being a bit more adventurous she can make a homemade tea of equal parts mugwort, cramp bark, and chamomile. All of which she can find dried at any herbal store. This also stops cramps.
Let us know if you have any more questions.
