Hi there -

Welcome to Empowher and thanks for your post.

Is cryocautery freezing the procedure you are talking about? This is a procedure where the cells of the cervix are frozen off in order to avoid progression to cervical cancer if you have shown to have precancerous cells. It may be (and is probably) linked to the HPV virus. Most doctors perform this pretty simple procedure in their offices.
