We are very adiment about giving "equal" attention to both and we are very involved and loving parents. Please Help.

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your question and welcome to EmpowHer. If I can only think of the millions of reasons why I played sick growing up.......daydreaming. I am not sure we can diagnose a reason why she would do this but before jumping to a mental illness...lets think of many good reasons.

Does she want to go to school?
Is there a reason her voice doesn't "work"?
Is she getting bullied possibly at school?
Is she trying to get out of doing something? Ex. attending church?

Before being too concerned, I would talk to her to see if there is something possibly bothering her that is causing the lie. If I think back, there was always a reason I played sick....can there possibly be a reason she is?

I hope this helps.
Missie
