Hi Anon

I did a little research to see how you can get further help. Psychology Today has a comprehensive list of counselors in Michigan that may be able to help you and your children. Their contact numbers are available and many also list their specialties so you can get a good idea of who may be most qualified to help you. You can find the list here:

http://therapists.psychologytoday.com/rms/state/Michigan.html

Michigan's Department of Community Health can refer you to a place and people that can help you. You can begin with contacting them here: http://www.michigan.gov/mdch/0,1607,7-132-2941_4868_7145---,00.html

Again, I'm unsure of where you are in Michigan so here is a map of Michigan where you can click on your county and be directed to help from there, via Michigan's Dept. of Community Health.

We haven't heard from you since your first post so please let us know if this information helps and if we can help you further. We wish you the best.

Thank you for your question. Are you saying that you have recently had sex for the first time since your husband raped you seven years ago and are now swollen and bleeding?

If you are using condoms, you may be allergic to the latex - it commonly causes this kind of swelling. As to why you may be bleeding - how old are you? Is this your period coming? Or has it just left? Are you post-menopausal? Did you use a lubricant?

Bleeding during or after sex is not normal.
-It may be a simple sign of vaginal dryness.
-It could be a sign of a sexually transmitted disease or infection.
-It could mean you have pelvic inflammatory disease
-It could mean you have cervical polyps
-It could mean you have a growth in this area that needs to be seen by a doctor.

Please see a doctor about this as soon as you can. He or she can ask you the necessary questions, give you an exam and perform some tests. This kind of bleeding (in addition to swelling) needs to be seen by a medical professional.

As to your statement that your ex-husband is a medical doctor who drugged and raped you and your children - this is an extremely serious allegation. Has he been arrested? If not, you need to file a report immediately with the police. Are you in a position to do this straight away? Can we help you in this regard?

You children will also need a full medical physical and long term psychological counseling - is this in place yet? Do you and your ex reside in the United States? Does he have any contact with your or your kids? This makes a difference, in terms of what you can legally do.

Please update us with more details as soon as you can, it seems your message may have been cut off and we'd like to know more so we can help you further.

Don't give up hope, there is help.
