Ok so, my friend is 14 and she has just lost her virginity recently and they used a condom but her period is late, her boyfriend checked the condom to make sure it didn't split when he had finished and it was all good. What could be the problem?

Many things can delay at period and a child of 14 may not have a regular cycle in the first place. It can take several years for a cycle to become regular. Stress, medications or lifestyle changes can also cause delays. It sounds like you are the male involved. Tell her to discuss her issue with her parents.
