Hi khadija,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thanks for your question.  Many things can be the cause of your stiffness after sitting and in the morning.  It can be cause by bones or muscles problems.  But a very common symptom of Fibromyalgia is stiffness. Is a medical condition that causes acute muscle stiffness in older people. It might good to ask your doctor about this.
