Hello,

My period hasn't shown up for a couple of days and yes i had protected sex, but about two months ago. Last month I got my period on the exact day I was expecting it. On May 4th I had my period. I never had sex since. Why hasn't my period come yet?

Okay I have the same situation. I haven't had sex for almost 4 months, my period came the last each months up until now. I'm confused a little because I've been having symptoms my period is coming, but even my stomach is hurting... Any idea what is going on?

Thank you! that makes me feel a whole lot better! I guess the only thing i worry about is pre-ejaculation because i hear it can get you pregnant and im not sure if that happened. Though my boyfriend reassures me that everything was fine. I think i am over thinking the situation but i would like to know more about pre-ejaculation, can you get pregnant from that?

Hi,
so I am two days late from my period. It has happened before and i was paranoid that i was pregnant but i ended up getting my period about 10 days later. Well the last period i has started on May 10th, and i had sex on may 23rd -we used a condom and my boyfriend pulled out before ejaculating while wearing the condom. My boyfriend reassures me that everything was ok and that the condom did not break. he's told me i have nothing to worry about but I've always been a worrier and the thought of me missing my period and possibly being pregnant is stressing me out. I also just started summer school, and i am under a great deal of stress with school and financially. I really need some advice, because i have no one to talk to about this situation.
thank you.

Pinkstar,

From what you write, I don't think you need to be so worried. If your boyfriend pulled out before ejaculation AND was wearing a condom, you would have been doubly protected.

Stress -- and it sounds like you are experiencing a lot of it -- plays a big part in our hormones, and our hormones control our cycles. If we are stressed out, our period can be delayed. That in itself is enough to explain your lateness.

In addition, you have had this experience before, of being late, being worried, and getting your period about 10 days late. That tells me that a late period is not something to totallly freak about.

My advice would be to breathe, to figure out if you can worry about it a little less, and to wait and see if your period comes in the next few days. If you like, you can take a pregnancy test just to ease your mind. But it soundsl ike it would be negative.

Hang in there, and don't beat yourself up with stress and worry, OK?
