Alright, this is all new to me. This is my only source, i cant go to the doctor because im only 17, and i always go to the doctor with my mum. If i went without her she would be suspicious, and ask a million questions. Plus, she doesnt even know i've had sex. I really need help.
On January 2, my boyfriend and i had sex unprotected for the first time ever, i was quite literally shocked and scared. The next morning i took the morning after pill - this was my first ever time taking it. About 4 - 5 days later i started bleeding which lasted about 4 days, (i also got cramping, which i have never before experienced with a period). My period date is usually between the 19 - 23rd of the month, in December my period came as usual. Only, its now the 12th of February and there is no sign of a period. Im starting to really stress. I have taken a home pregnancy test, in which came back negative. But the stress is starting to take over me. i cant sleep at night, this is all i can think about, plus im not eating properly. Please help me to atleast feel reassured.

My husband and i seperated and i stupidly went out and had sex with someone and the condom came off during sex. I took the morning after pill the next day (7 hours after intercourse) a week later i had makeup unprotected sex with my husband. I didnt take the morning after. 2 weeks later i am now 3 days late for my period. Could i be pregnant? And would my husband likely be the father?

Hello Anonymous,

The morning after pill, like all emergency contraceptives, prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. This lasts for one menstrual cycle.

If you took the pill before you ovulated, you were still protected when you had intercourse with your husband.

An emergency contraceptive can cause changes in the menstrual cycle. The next period could start earlier or later than expected. Flow can be lighter or heavier than normal.

If you do not have any bleeding within three weeks of taking the pill, test for pregnancy.

Maryann

Hello Anonymous,

Pregnancy would be possible if you had unprotected sex since your period last month.

Hello Anonymous,

Yes, it can. Never take an ECP more than once in a menstrual cycle or in consecutive months.

If you have no period or bleeding within three weeks of taking the last dose, test for pregnancy and call your gynecologist.

Me and my girlfrrnd had sex on 3Rd of Febuarary. Her last period started at 21January. She took ecp within 45 minute after having unprotected sex. She experienced nausea and some unusual tiredness. She then had a small brownish discharge just once on the night of 10th. And then she had bleeding in the morning of 11th during our intercourse, i noticed blood on her vagina, which was sticky like her periods but it turned light in color after a day and ended in around more than 48hours. But she didnt expreinced cramps like she usually do in her periods. then we got confused that was it normal after ecp? Or was it actually her periods? Or was it implantation bleedind we had no idea. After that she used to get pain in her abodominal and when we used to have sex, she used to face pain after sex. In her abdomin beneith her stomach. Yesterday i noticed thick Whitish Discharged from her vagina when we were making out. Im honestly proving every detail and information about what happened. She says she's not hungry and she have aches in her back in legs its been 23 days now. Its 26 of Febuarary today. She never felt soreness in her breasts and she never threw up. Its so confusion what is going on sometimes it feels like its nothing but effects of ecp but then after knwoing the she didnt get her periods on 21Feb as its 26th now, it feels like shes pregnant. Im too worried for her please any help or suggestions? Reply asap please

Hello Please.help.anon,

Since it has been three weeks since she took the ECP, and has only had bleeding for about two or three days, I suggest she take a home pregnancy test. For the most accurate result, she must test in the morning> Use the urine when she wakes up. Then contact her gynecologist.

Maryann
