My last period was 2/20 through 2/28 and on 3/9 through 3/11 i had the stomach flu and was vomitting and had diarreha. it is now 3/29 and i still haven't had my period. my breast are tender and hurt. me and my boyfriend showered together around 3/21 or so. we didn't do anything sexual but he did soap me. i was wondering if there was any way i could be pregnant.

Hi,

Unless "he soaped me" is a new euphemism for "having sex", then it is unlikely that you are pregnant from the information you provided. Is your period regular?

If your period started on February 20th, and you were intimate on March 21st (around the time your period should have started, if you are on a 28-day cycle and are "regular"), without any type of penetration (from fingers, penis...anything that may have had ejaculate or pre-ejaculate which contains sperm), and his penis was not near, around or on your vagina (again, pre-ejaculate contains sperm), then it really is highly unlikely that you are pregnant.

In a 28-day, perfectly regular cycle, you would have ovulated around day 14 of your cycle. Day 1 is the day your period starts (2/20), so ovulation may have been March 5th. You are most fertile about 3-5 days before and after this date (sperm can live up to 3, maybe even 5, days in the vagina...so even if you have sex a few days before you ovulate, the sperm can be "hanging out" in your cervix, waiting for an egg).

Did you have any sexual relations other than on 3/21?

Do you have an OB/GYN that you see? If not, now would be a good time to become an established patient. Your period is late, you are sexually active, and should be getting regular pap smears. Have you considered using birth control? Planned Parenthood has a great website that explains all of your options...let us know if you'd like more information on this.
