My period was due today, but hasn't come yet.

I took an Equate pregnancy test three days ago and yesterday morning and they were both negative. Could I still be pregnant? Has anybody had problems with Equate pregnancy tests?

Hi, chillintherain,

Most pregnancy tests are set up to detect HCG, the pregnancy hormone, in your urine. Since you took the test three days and one day before your period was expected, it's possible that you're not pregnant or it's possible that you're pregnant but you don't have enough HCG in your system yet for the test to detect.

Also, it's very possible that you're just a day or two late. It happens to a lot of women, for no real reason. Our hormones are unpredictable sometimes. Many things can cause us to go a little early or a little late, and it doesn't mean anything serious

Are you trying to become pregnant? Are you certain as to when you ovulated?
