Hello daisybee,

Please contact your physician. The menstrual cycle is regulated by hormones. A hormonal imbalance will cause changes, like not getting your period. Do not confuse yourself with things you read on the internet. Talk with your doctor who knows your medical history.

If a woman is in perimenopause, she can miss periods.

Maryann

Hello daisybee,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community.

Have you had unprotected sex since your period which started on December 10? If so, there is a chance that your period is late because you are pregnant. In that case, wait until January 17 and take a home pregnancy test.

If you have not had unprotected sex since your last period, the delay can be the result of taking an emergency contraceptive. In some women, the pill causes the next period to start earlier or later than expected, but not by more than five days.

Maryann

Hello daisybee,

No, you must see a doctor to determine why you are having lower body pain and why you have not gotten your period.

Maryann
