im a 15 year old female and i will be turning 16 in November, my boyfriend and i had sex on the 16th of august 2015 we used protection but with my bad luck the condom spilt right at the tip, and without realising my boyfriend ejaculated in me, we went to the chemist the next day and bought the Plan B pill, i took it about 12-15 hours after sex. i was due for my period on 4th of September but it hasn't come yet, my periods are usually anywhere from 3-7 days late but its now almost the end of September, i did bleed about a week after taking the pill but the percrisptionist said that this was a normal side effect of the hormones in plan b and that i should still be expecting my period on its due date! I'm stressing out so much right now and probably have never been this eager to get a period, i do suffer from a lot of stress and anxiety which i know is possible to delay my period even more, but the timing is awful, i haven't taken a pregnancy test yet so nothing is confirmed, i have been getting bad nausea in the back of my throat and noticing some changes such as back pain, mood swings etc. I'm not sure if this is a sign of PMS or pregnancy or even just my head stressing itself out but i would LOVE some advice as unfortunatley I'm not as close as i would like to be with my older sisters and mother and i don't feel in any way comfortable talking to anyone in my family! please get back to me asap, i cannot have a baby!

Hello and thank you for choosing EmpowHer,
You don't have to worry about pregnancy. Emergency contraception was effective and the fact that you bled as a side effect is also a good you are not pregnant. Since the drug contains hormones it can easily disrupt your normal cycle; especially someone your age because during adolescence the body is still making hormonal adjustments.
I know it is scary not to get a normal period after having sex, but don't worry. Your period will return to normal soon. If you want more peace of mind, I suggest you do take a pregnancy test.
