Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for coming to us with your concern of no period for three months and two negative pregnancy tests.

You need to speak with your gynecologist or primary care physician.

The menstrual cycle is regulated by a precise balance of hormones. A hormonal upset or imbalance will present with changes.

Pregnancy is the most often reason. As long as you tested correctly, by testing in the morning, using the first urine of the day and following the directions, you can accept the negative results.

Perimenopause, which is a time when estrogen levels fluctuate, is a reason for missed periods among women in their 50s or even late 40s.

If indeed you were pregnant, you should be showing early signs. Regardless, please contact your physician about this.

Keep us updated,
Maryann
