My dear sister , has had this problem for years and i never really understood and never have been able to give her a proper explanation ..she has been sexually active since she was 13 and she has had atleast 6 sexual partners and even has two kids but ever since sheºs been sexually active she has never had any pleasure...she does indeed get turn on ..and feels pleasure on her clitoris but she only feels the pressure when she does have intercourse...i feel terrible for her because she has never even told her husband about this so she usually fakes her orgasms during sex ....does anyone know a possible medical reason for this? is it really normal not to feel pleasure during sex?

Thank you , for your advice but she has been familiar with ways to achieve sexual satisfaction..sheºs tried on her own..and has even bought sex toys, and nothing has worked but once again thank you for your advice we appreciate it.

Would she consider some form of sex therapy? Do you think she would be open to that?

It's very unfair anyone would have to live like this - there is a treatment program out there for her and I'm wondering if she could find it with counseling. What do you think?

At this point in her life sheºs open to anything, sheºs happily married but she wants to have that intimate connection with her husband just as any other wife does...but is there any actuall therapy for those who cannot experience sexual pleasure ..i always assumed it was a medical condition because i never heard about this before until my sister.

Anon - it could well be a medical condition but also a psychological one. Seeing a health care provider can sort out which it is (or both).

Would you like us to look into options in her area? If so, you can let us know where she lives or let us know over a private message.

We look forward to helping her more!

Hi Scruz

Your sister, as early as she started, and as many partners as she has had, may still have no idea how to achieve full satisfaction, sexually. This means she may need to spend time alone, to figure out her body and what it needs, sexually. Is she does not know her own body very well, then neither will her partner.

We were asked a very similar question a few days ago and one of our writer/moderators had some great ideas. Please click here for more : http://www.empowher.com/community/ask/i-have-never-reached-orgasm-or-climaxed-during-intercourse-what-must-i-do

and feel free to link this to your sister.

Will you let us know if it helps?
