Q:

Not sure if I'm pregnant

Hi, I had my last period October 22nd and two weeks after had unprotected sex, just about the right time of my ovulation. About 5 days later I started sporadically cramping and having lower back pain which is very unusual for anything routine in my cycle. I took a blood test as well as OTC urine tests and all came back negative. The nurse at the doctor's office even said it was too soon to find out. Could it be pregnancy or does it sound like another health-related issue?

Hi Anonymous,
Thanks for your question and for finding EmpowHER. As you may know, anytime you have unprotected sex, you run the risk of pregnancy. Are you trying to get pregnant? We can't diagnose you.
It seems if you had your last period Oct. 22nd, you will know if you are pregnant by the end of the week as your period should be coming within the next 5-7 days, right? If you don't get it, you may take another home pregnancy test or go back to the doctor for their pregnancy test.
Good luck and hope you get the result you are looking for.
