My family has a history of osteoporosis. Is it genetic? How much does my family history increase my risk?

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for the Ask. Some studies have shown that having a family history, especially maternal side there is a higher chance to develop this condition. Genetics may determine up to 80% of the risk for Osteoporosis.
