I am 48 and experiencing peri menopause. 18 months ago I had my right ovary removed and tube as well. My periods have been fairly regular but they have been very clotty and very short. Beginning in April I stopped having periods and feels like I have another cyst on my left ovary. The question I have is will your periods stop if you have a cyst on your only remaining ovary. I have taken three pregnancy test to ensure that I am not pregnant. they were all negtive.

Hi Anonymous,
If you are 48 and in peri-menopause, I would classify you as missing your periods more for that reason rather than you missing periods to a "possible" left ovary cyst. Have you been diagnosed with another cyst?

Thanks for the update.
