I took both pills in one dosage, is this dangerous or less effective? Also, what are the usual side effects after taking the pills and how soon after? I took the pills about a 17 days ago and now I'm spotting ( not heavy but blood is present). Could this be a side effect?

Although there have been no reports of serious harmful effects from taking too many tablets at once, you may feel sick, actually be sick (vomit), or have vaginal bleeding. You should ask your doctor, nurse, pharmacist, or family planning clinic for advice, especially if you have been sick, as the tablets may not have worked properly.

Postinor is an emergency contraception which is effective in preventing pregnancy when taken within 120 hours after having unprotected sex?
Did you take the pill first and then have unprotected sex? If so, why? I think you should be protected against pregnancy.

July 1, 2011 - 4:52pmPostinor 2 is most effective if taken when taken as close to the time of the sexual encounter. So, you did well in taking the first pill one hour after intercourse. It is recommended that the second pill be taken 12 hours later. Not taking the pill as directed may impact its effectiveness, I honestly don't know. You may want to call your doctor on this one, or contact Planned Parenthood.

i took postinor 2 1hr after intercourse and the second tablet after meal.. and like 30 min interval.. is it less effective??

June 23, 2011 - 6:05pmPostinol 2 is an emergency contraceptive that should be taken as directed and only in emergency situations of contraceptive failure such as a broken condom. I don't understand what your friend means that taking pills will cause difficulty getting pregnant in the future. If you can give me more information, I would be happy to answer your questions.
