Pain After Ankle Fusion

I had my left Subtalar fusion on Mar. 18, 2016. Within 9 mouth I started being in pain again. I went back to my doctor in he is saying I need my whole ankle fused now. When I first went he said I might need to have the whole thing done in about 10 years. Unfortunately, I lost my job and insurance so I was unable to have anything done. I also, started wondering if he should have done the whole thing the first time? I have a temp job right now so, I went for a second opinion. He took x-rays and now I have a bone that was not there before. Where has this come from? Does anyone have any advise what I should do?
