Pain in left side in rib area and intensified when I bend over or tilt forward in sitting position and I cannot lay on that side. Its very tender to touch at times. My gallbladder has been removed. I have stinging, burning pain and I cannot cough, sneeze, etc without holding my left ribs which helps some. I wonder if it is my lung, tissue around lung, a muscle or another organ enlarged in abdominal area putting pressure on rib area whenever I bend, tilt forward or lay on left side? What are my possibilities. I'm unemployed, uninsured and uncertain as to how long this is going to bother me. It began over 1 month ago.

Hi Anon,
Welcome to EmpowHER. Many things can be the cause of your pain in your ribs and abdomen. It can Muscle, your lungs, kidney stone and many more. The only way to know for sure is seeing your doctor and having imaging test done.
Best,
Daisy
