Pelvic cramping. Took Plan B

So on Sept 7th (2 days before my ovulation date) condom broke and he finished inside me. I took plan b the next day, I felt like period cramping and a head ache nothing crazy. I also noticed that I didn't have any clear ovulation discharge after taking the pill either so I assume it stopped the ovulation process. 5 days later I had a little spotting and the next day I bled as if I had a full on period. It calmed down the next day and went into spotting and stopped on sept 16th (total of 3 days). I was like hmmm ok could be from the pill since my expected period doesn't come till sept 28th. But now a day after that I have a pelvic pain kind of feels like it's a pulling cramp and I did have constipation for a couple days, I'm not sure if this is from the pill and I'm very confused, worried, and I'm stressing myself out bc all I could think about is if the pill didn't work !? I don't have any other symptoms! Hopefully someone could help me out or give me advice

Thank you !!!

Hello Ashleyyy1424,

Welcome to EmpowHER.

Plan B prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. So, that explains the change.

It causes changes in the menstrual cycle so that is why your period started earlier.
You had bleeding that resembled a period, so you know the pill worked.

Abdominal cramping is a side effect. If this persists or worsens, call your gynecologist.

Maryann

Thank you for answering!!

Yes I did bleed lightly for 3 days but I don't know if that was a period. My original period date is on the 28th so I guess I will see if it comes on time or not.

I was also thinking since this Thursday is going to make 2 weeks from the incident happening should I take a at home pregnancy test or is it still too soon?

By the way, the cramping seem to subside after 2 days so I guess everything is fine with that...
