It was really light on sunday and then heavy until yesterday now nothing ive taken 5 pregnancy tests before it came all of which were negative. I have 2 children already and I have had my period for 12 years now and never had anything like this with my kids they were planned so I knew what was going on now im not sure if im pregnant if i miscarried or if my period was really late. Any info or answer would be great. Im going to wait until next month to make a docrors appt because my dr is far away and I dont want to drive out there if im just being paranoid.

Everything you should know about menstrual irregularity can be found in a clear and concise fashion from an unbiased gynecology expert in a book just releasesed in January entitled Ask Your Gynecologist: Answers to Over 200 questions (Sometimes Embarrassing) Women Ask through Every Age and Stage of Their Lives

Hello Sammi91,

You are not being paranoid. This is very irregular for someone your age.
I can appreciate that your physician's office is far away.

The menstrual cycle is regulated by hormones - estrogen, follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, and progesterone. Any imbalance or factor that effects one of these hormones can cause an irregularity in your menstrual cycle.

Sammi91, have you thought about calling your doctor's office? Speak with the nurse or leave a message for your physician to call you back. At least you will get some feedback regarding your concern and can schedule an appointment, if necessary.

Regards,
Maryann
