Hello, my step daughter, Abby, is only 10 years old but has tried to kill her step sister when she was 4 yrs old. Abby has no empathy, sympathy, or feeling but for her own self. Abby has been in a mental hospital three times, for only ten to twelve days at a time. Abby has also been through many counselors and "buffaloed" them. Abbys dentist went into cardiac arrest while working on her teeth and while me and the nurse are trying to do CPR she is blank and shrugs her shoulders, as the same when her daddy had a stroke except she started to sing and dance. Abby has molested her stepsister and her cousin and tried with several other boys and girls. Abby has been honest with me and has said she wants to have sex with her daddy so he will love her more. Abby has also refused to wash her private area after we have told her numerous times of the oder and the infection she could get. Abby lies to suit what she wants, if she doesnt get her way, she will scratch or hit herself and make people feel sorry for her so they will call CPS. Abby also will gorge herself and then throw up, she thinks she is fat, and we are constantly on watch for this, as well as sneaking medicine, and harming herself. Abby is so manipulative and beleivable that she has every one fooled but her family. We are stressed to the max, its lies, stealing, masturbation, self destruction, or destruction of other peoples property, or decietfullness everyday 24/7.. Abby's doctor says its only a mood disorder, and shes depressed. Abby is on Tegretol, Intuniv and Zoloft.. There is no change either way. After reading this...my question is..Is THIS personality disoder? and can you please help me before Abby gets mad and tries to say her daddy touched her and our family of five is ruined forever? Thank You, Jaime Pate

Hi,
I am terribly sorry to hear about the hellish life you and your family are living. I an not a psychiatrist, but Abby is severely disturbed, She is a harmful threat. She may need long term hospitalization where she can be constantly monitored, receive the appropriate medication and therapy and be prevented from harming others and herself.
