Plan B side effect or pregnancy?

Hello.
Three days after my period ended, I had sex with my boyfriend. I wasn't ovulating. We used a condom, but it broke. We went and got the plan B pill right away, and I had taken the first pill less than an hour after it happened. I didn't feel sick while taking it like I was warned I might, and thought everything was fine. Now, 5 days later, I am experiencing some light spotting which is a dark brownish with a little light pink. My period isn't due for about 2 weeks. Is this implantation bleeding or just a side effect from the plan b pill? Please help, I am so scared!

Found one bright red spot after one day of taking the pill. Is that a sign of pregnancy?

Hello Anonymous,

I think this is not a sign of pregnancy but an early sign that the ECP was effective.

I had unprotected sex on July 30th and took plan b the same day. I was just got off my period the day before. Now i started bleeding on Sunday and it was light and redder than it usually is. Plus I am a week early for my period, I have taken the pill before and this never happened. Could I be pregnant????

Hello Anonymous,

I doubt that you are pregnant. The chance in your menstrual cycle, period starting earlier and flow being lighter and redder in color are most likely caused by taking Plan B and possibly taking it too often.

Check in with your gynecologist.

I had a baby 5 1/2 months ag . My period just started back June 14th and then again on July 9th so about 26 days. I had sex July 17th late that night so you could even say July 18th. Which was cycle day 10-11 according to my fertility mobile app. I am not trying to get pregnant. I took a plan b pill around noon on the 18th. On the 26th of July (CD 18) I had light light brown spotting. And the next day just barely when I wiped. Is this from the plan b pill or is this implantation bleeding. I didn't experience it with my pregnancy before so it just makes me wonder. Thanks in advance.

Hello Anonymous,

It is hard to say considering you just had your first period following delivery.

Implantation bleeding is pink or brown spotting that occurs six to 12 days following conception. It never increases to a flow and stops on its own.

Please contact your gynecologist about this.

Hi I had sex with my boyfriend 3 days after my period and the condom broke. I took plan b about 24 hrs later. exactly a week after I took it, I got what seemed like my period for exactly 3 days. it's been about about a week and a half since then and I shouldn't get my next period until July 31st. now I'm having brown spotting and I'm not sure what it is. could any of this be implantation bleeding? should I take a pregnancy test ?

Hi rileyerin11,

The bleeding which you thought was your period may have been breakthrough or between period bleeding caused by taking Plan B. Your period for July may be delayed as a side effect of the pill. If it is delayed by more than five days, you can speak with your gynecologist or simply test for pregnancy.

Hi I had unprotected sex 3 days before ovulation and I took the plan b pill that same day. I'm now experiencing some moderate brownish red blood for about 2 days and then it stopped. My period isn't due for another 12 days. Is this implantation bleeding or is it just a side effect?
