i had just gotten my period right before new years and my boyfriend and i had sex and the condom broke. i took plan less 24 hrs after that. I regularly take birth control so after i took the pill i didnt start my next cycle of birth control because i wasnt sure if my period would come early because of the plan b. It has been almost a week since i was supposed to take my regular birth control and im not sure if i should wait to get my period again or if i should start taking it now. Also if my next scheduled period was in 3 more weeks when is the right time to take a pregnancy test?

Take a home pregnancy test. If you are not pregnant see a gyn for taking birth controls. Talk to her about Yaz Birth controls they are the best ones and comes by prescription.

Good Luck,

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Many women first choose a home pregnancy test (HPT), about a week after a missed period. If you are not sure if you are pregnant or not, then it would be best to wait before starting your birth control pill.

Best,

Daisy
