I've been having reoccuring symptoms lately that I wasn't worried about at first, because I thought they would just pass, but since they have been happening multiple times, I'm getting a little more worried. I've been having spasms in the right side of my abdomen, sort of in the middle and upper part. Its a weird feeling, but it isn't painful. When it happens, my heartbeat feels stronger than usual and a little abnormal, but not fast or slow. I haven't noticed any particular trends in the times the spasms occur, but I haven't been paying much attentnion to it. In case it might be caused by any other factors, I am 17, I'll be 18 in October. I'm not sexually active. I am a vegetarian, but I take extra steps to make sure I'm getting the nutrients I need. I'm in college and don't have much time or the means to get to the doctor's office and I don't want to unless its something important. If I could possibly figure out what it is and how to treat it without going to the doc it would be super helpful. I don't want to have to go out of my way to go to the doctor if I don't have to. =P I'm sure other college students know how that is. If anyone has any ideas at all please let me know, I would be very happy to hear from anyone that might be able to help. Thank you so much for your time!

Hi Anonymous,

Stomach issues could be so many different things such a reaction to stress to, cancer to the flu. I am sorry that we cannot diagnose you with a condition. You know and understand your body and with or without insurance, I would see a doctor if your body is telling you that something is wrong. If you think that it may be a flu and it will pass, you could probably save the money for lack of insurance. Listen to your body.
