Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER. I am not sure if you are asking, what determines virginity? If so, virginity is the meaning of when a woman has sexual intercourse for the first time. A hymen is a layer of skin inside the vagina, that is broken during intercourse for the first time or in some cases a girl can be born without one or loses it during exercise. Hope this was the answer you were looking for.
