Hello Anon

HCG shots are used to promote ovulation and fertility in women. Did you take it for other reasons? If you are using it as a weight loss supplement, you need to be aware you also may be highly fertile so extreme caution is needed if pregnancy is to be avoided.

We cannot say if there was an interaction or that if emergency contraception won't work because of it. EC is up to 95% effective when taken within 24 hours and side effects can include a delayed cycle after. Not all women bleed when they take EC. You can test for pregnancy 14-21 days after sex.

Hi there

Thank you for your reply. It has been about 10 days since sex. I did two pregnancy tests yesterday and today and both were negative. I am having a bit of white discharge and slight cramping and my nipples are a bit sore of which all normally happens with my period. My period is due the first week of august
I did the HCG shot for an iui.

Hi again
I don't understand why you would take emergency contraception when you are trying to get pregnant (HCG shot and IUI) but either way, you are testing too early. EC is up to 95% effective.
