Guide

Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community!

Menstrual cycle irregularities can have many different causes.  Pregnancy and/or breast-feeding are definitely contributors.   The 8 day cycle followed up by bleeding again 5 days later, could be abnormal bleeding or your cycle re-adjusting after having the twins.

Track your menstrual cycle and share this with your OB/GYN when you return for your regular exams.

Track by keeping record on a calendar or smartphone the following:

·         Start date

·         End date – how long it last.  Is it different than previous months, etc.?

·         Flow – heaviness.  Is it lighter or heavier than previous months?

·         Abnormal bleeding –Note if you are bleeding between periods

·         Pain – Note any pain associated and if it feels worse than usual.

·         Other changes – Are you experiencing any changes in mood or behavior?

Are there any other symptoms or concerns you have?

Congratulations on the twins!!
