I had unprotected sex in the beginning of Nov. while I was ovulating and we did the pull out method. I was pretty crampy and had sore breasts and symptoms starting about 5 days before my period was suppose to come. A little different for me but didnt think anything of it at first. I had what I thought was my period a couple days late but it was really strange for me. Usually my body goes back to normal but not this time after I get my period. About 3 to 4 weeks later and my breasts and nipples are still quite sore and heavy. With visible blue veins on chest leading to nipples now and think my ariolas are darker. I am exhausted, have diarrea, pretty nauseas, occasional headaches, frequent bathroom breaks, and just dont feel like myself. I did take a hpt and it came out negative recently. Am I going crazy or could I be pregnant or this this something else? HELP!!!

Hi Anon

Thanks for your question!

I don't think you are crazy and you're probably not pregnant either!

If you have NOT had unprotected sex since your last period, then you are likely not pregnant - confirmed by your negative pregnancy test.

It sounds more like you are having some kind of hormonal shift that is causing these symptoms.  PMS symptoms are very similar to those of pregnancy (heavy breasts, painful breasts, not feeling right) so it's hard to know and if your period is due anywhere from now to in the next 7-8 days, it's likely PMS.

What you need to do is wait for your next period to be due and take a test if it doesn't come.

Good luck!

Thank you forgetting back to me. My next period if it comes isn't due until a few weeks from now so it's not PMS. I am guessing it is some hormonal shift then just not positive whats causing it. Guess I will have to play the waiting game and see if my period comes in December.
