Lacey,

Taking your temperature is a way to estimate ovulation, but usually your temperature will spike a couple of days AFTER you have ovulated, making it an ineffective method for someone trying to conceive that month. However, you can do it for a couple of months and log the date that your temperature is elevated on your calendar then notice the pattern so that you can get an idea of which week you may be ovulating.

Test again next week Lacey, if you don't want to try home tests anymore, give your OB/GYN a visit. But make sure you're at least a week late-- that way they won't dismiss your pregnancy concern as simply a late period. Good Luck!

The sac can be seen when you are approximately 4.5-5.5 weeks along in pregnancy. Since you have not had a missed period, you still would not be that far along. Supposing your period did not come this friday and you got a positive pregnancy test, then within a week or two you may be able to see a sac on an ultrasound.

Lacey,

Thank you for your question. It is still too soon to test for pregnancy. Wait until the first day of your missed period to do a urine test. Although you may be feeling your uterus contracting due to pregnancy, sharp pains are sometimes brought upon by an oncoming period as well. I know you are excited and impatient to find out, but you will in just a few days!

Good Luck, sending positive vibes to you!
