My boyfriend rubbed his thing on my vagina in March and my period was due end of that March and l had my periods. My next period was on the 30th of April and l still had not gone up to today. Is it possible that i'm pregnant? Is it possible that in March I had a spotting not a period? How do you tell that this period or spotting?

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for coming to us for help.

During your period, the flow of blood will usually be heavy enough that you’ll have to wear a sanitary pad or tampon to avoid staining your underwear and clothes. Spotting is much lighter than a period. Usually you won’t produce enough blood to soak through a panty liner. The color may be lighter than a period, too.

You are the judge if the bleeding in March was a period or spotting.

Have you had unprotected sex since your last period?
Are your periods regular?

If you have had spotting and not a period in March, have had unprotected sex since then, and if you do not get a period in the next week, take an early response pregnancy test.

Keep us updated,
Maryann
