pregnancy and bleeding

i'm currently 6 weeks pregnant and im starting to bleed not as much as a period but somewhat lil clots here and there and im having lots of pain. went to the dr they have me doing the 48 hr blood tests that was when i was just spotting know im bleeding. is this a miscarriage. i just got married and this is our first pregnancy. i need to know. pleas help

Dear Anonymous,

Spotting during the first trimester can be normal but should still never let go unattended. If you are now bleeding, please go to your urgent care center or better yet emergency department and call your doctor if possible.
