If your doctor found something "abnormal" on an ultrasound, they may not know what it is...and need to confirm or rule out possibilities. You can call and ask what these possibilities are, or what they are looking for in a repeat ultrasound, but something "abnormal" can be literally anything from mild to severe. We are unable to speculate what a possible abnormality would be, as there are too many different conditions for either mom or baby without more information.
