Hello Anonymous,
Welcome to EmpowHER. I am glad you reached out to us for help.
About 18% of women who take Plan B experience lower abdominal pain. I don't know specifically if it is on the right side, left side or across the lower abdomen.
Plan B prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. It is effective if taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. It can cause a delay in the start of your next period.
Anonymous, if your period is very late or you have no bleeding within 3 weeks of taking the pill, please test for pregnancy. You can contact your pediatrician if the cramps worsen. Please speak with your doctor about birth control. You are young, sexually active and need protection.
