Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for reaching out to us with your concern about a late period.

If you are still a virgin, and have not had unprotected vaginal intercourse, pregnancy is not the reason for a late period.

It is not uncommon for one's period to vary by a few days from one month to the next. Relax, I'm sure your period will start soon.

Best,
Maryann

Thank you so kuch for your immediate Response. Just one more matter. I fasted For a whole month so And in that month i had two infections both for which i took cipro and a bunch of other antibiotics. Also im very over weight and i just started working out since past 2 days. Now my lower abdomen hurts a little but im aware its because of exercising right?

Hello Anonymous,

Thank you for the additional information. All of this, fasting, having two infections, and being overweight contribute to a delay in getting your period.

Regards,
Maryann
