Q:

Pregnancy risk from dry humping and pre cm on boxers?

Hi, this may sound very far fetched and I've been told by lots of people that the only REAL pregnancy risk is when there is direct genital contact / naked. However, I can't seem to stop thinking about it.

Me and my partner were enganging in dry sex the other night, to put short I had two thin layers of clothing on (underwear and tights) and he had his boxers shorts on, we were dry humping each other for a little and when we stopped I noticed he had a wet spot on his boxers, assuming this was pre ejaculate I was abit panicked. I checked my underwear and it didn't feel wet, but I'm scared that what if this pre ejaculate (or even ejaculate) could penetrate through underwear and pose a risk of pregnancy? Like I said, our genitals did not touch, but he got a little excited and I'm scared that two layers of thin clothing, it could've leaked through and get me pregnant.

I know it may sound ridiculous, but I get myself worked up over things like this, do you think I have anything to worry about? What are the chances of pregnancy from what I've decribed?
Would it make any difference if it was actual ejaculation drops on his boxers? Please help.

Thanks.

Hello adtrgirl

Thank you for writing.

We have explained how all this works to several times before .

Sperm cannot penetrate through underwear and you can't get pregnant this way. Your genitals didn't even touch.

So even if he ejaculated onto my underwear (not a lot) there is still no risk of pregnancy?

Correct.

Think of it as a tiny bit of pudding that landed on a napkin. It sits on top and does not penetrate through. Use a condom in future, for any kind of activity, if this paranoia does not stop. That way you will know pregnancy can never happen.

Thankyou Susan, you always manage to put my mind at ease. I only asked as looking at other sites, some have said it can soak through underwear and cause pregnancy! So this is incorrect? And there is infact no risk of pregnancy from my situation?

Hello again

I can't comment on what other websites say.
Again, I have already helped you on this question about pregnancy risk - please see above.
Best,
Susan
